Turn the page to another chapter

It's been a long, long time.
Finally my freckled faced daughter helped me sign in again. I really don't know what the real problem is/was, but here I am.
We've had a busy 'end of the year' with our traditional "clean-out" Dinner of Sauerkraut and Spareribs, with mashed potatoes and cinnamon red-hot applesauce.
This was after Conference where we'd washed our hands again and again and again, trying to be sure we'd not pass on, or collect any germs.
Back home, we jumped into the preparation for the D and H bridal shower/lunch. All went well until two days before when I fell off my walker, (that's WALKER not ROCKER) tipping it over sideways while I was trying to paint our wrought iron patio furniture. You've no doubt seen that the setting for the party was "French Bistro" with the fat little mustachioed chef on a bicycle. About that fall...I hurt. I'm stiff. I crawled over to the curb by the driveway (cheek by cheek) and got myself up to finish the paint job.(!) That was over ten days ago and my tailbone is still tender.
We had a pizza-party for the set-up workers the night before the bash. The gang worked well into the night setting the stage. With B&B in command with their son JWB. KJA and me, as well as JD and her daughters "Lixet", we got the job done. Around 75 guests came from all around: L.A., Shadow Hills, La Mesa, Aberdeen, Tehachapi, Phoenix, Lawrenceville and of course, Pittsburgh! Moving on...
That nasty, nasty, nasty bug that I first thought was food poisoning, got me!!! Then two days later it got KJA. We were so weakened that we didn't do anything, eat anything, just stayed in bed and slept and slept. So here it is almost 2 p.m. and we're just getting out of our PJ's and into outside clothes so we can get to the bank with anxious (and currently whining) Bobby riding shot-gun in the car. Did you know he is so smart, he knows just what day of the week it is? Saturdays are his time in the car.

  • WELCOME BACK!!!! You were missed. I'm sorry you've been feeling so badly I hope things take a turn for the better soon! We've been reading your book of poems and I think BB might just be into it!

Also, I did not realize Bobby knew which day was Saturday. Amazing!

  • I'm sure BB will love the
Shadow and Birdie with the yellow bill. The cadence is catching.
